Home Made (DIY) Slide Duplicator and Negative Scanner
Sample Photo, straight off the slide duplicator
Home
Kolmanskop, just outside Luderitz, in Namibia.
NOTES
- The original slide was taken sometime around 1975 or 1977.
- This is an unedited copy of a 35mm slide. The EXIF data is intact.
- There are noticeable dust marks. I had cleaned the slide and lens, but some cardboard dust got onto the slide and/or lens. In macro mode, dust shows up very easily. Remember to dust your new slide duplicator very well.
- There is quite bad spherical distortion.
- There is some purple fringing. I am not sure if the purple fringing is in the original slide; or whether it has been introduced in the copying. Purple fringing is not a problem I have with this digital camera.
- The quality is certainly good enough for family and holiday snapshots. I get excellent 4x6 prints. A4 prints are OK (provided you don't examine them with a magnifying glass).
